Grants for homes in Lancashire

Warm Homes: Local Grant, through Cosy Homes in Lancashire

Funding for 2026 to 2027 is fully committed, so it is not taking applications. You can still enquire on its website, and it will send application forms in March 2027. The grant can pay for insulation, heat pumps, solar panels and other upgrades for homeowners and private tenants. A home qualifies if it is in Lancashire and rated EPC D to G, and the household lives in an eligible postcode, has a gross income under £36,000 a year, or gets a means-tested benefit such as Universal Credit, Pension Credit or Housing Benefit. Blackpool Council leads it for 13 of Lancashire’s 14 councils; Fylde is not part of it.

Damp and mould

Council and housing association tenants in Lancashire are covered by Awaab’s Law, which gives the landlord 10 working days to investigate damp and mould that poses a significant risk: see Awaab’s Law explained, and how to report damp to the largest landlords in Greater Manchester and Lancashire. If you own your home, our damp and mould guide explains why a survey should come before any quote.
