How the two services work

Both companies use the same basic model. You enter your postcode, answer questions about your current boiler, flue position and property, and optionally upload photos. The site then shows fixed prices for a range of boilers, and the figure you see is the figure you pay — provided your answers were accurate. Neither firm sends a surveyor first, and both offer next-working-day installation in most areas, carried out by vetted local Gas Safe registered engineers.

Pricing compared

Published entry prices sit close together. BOXT advertises installation from £1,790, while Heatable’s cheapest listed package is the Ideal Logic combi at £1,875 installed (both checked July 2026). Mid-market, Heatable listed the Worcester Bosch Greenstar 4000 at £2,360 installed, and independent price tracking puts a mid-range Worcester Bosch combi at roughly £2,000–£2,600 on BOXT. In other words, BOXT’s headline entry price is lower on paper, but the like-for-like gap on a specific model and postcode is often small — and can favour either company.

Its longest published cover is up to 12 years on selected Viessmann models, with up to 10 years on most Worcester Bosch models, plus a 12-month workmanship warranty on the installation itself (checked July 2026).

When we checked in July 2026, Heatable scored 4.8/5 on Trustpilot from around 14,000 reviews, and BOXT scored 4.8/5 from around 56,000 reviews on its Trustpilot page. BOXT’s review volume is roughly four times larger, which reflects its bigger scale rather than better service — both counts are easily large enough to be meaningful. Which service suits which job?
